Present Tense

Dears Asalam o Alikum,

Dears, today i will tell you about Present Tense . There are basically two ways of forming the Present Tense of all verbs in Spoken Arabic. The majority of verbs form their Present Tense as below :

I like , love (ana) aHibb. انا احب

you like, love(m.s) (inta) teHibb. انتا تحب

you like, love (f.s) (intee) teHibbeen. انتی تحبون

he, it likes, loves (huwa) yeHibb. ھوا یحب

she, it likes, loves (hiya) teHibb. ھیا تحب

we like, love (iHna) teHibb. نحن نحب

you (pl.) like, love (intum) teHibboon. انتم تحبون

they like, love (hum) yeHibboon. ھم یحبون

PERSONAL PRONOUNS

"ana ; anta ; antee ; huwa ; hiya ; naHna ; antum ; hum" are not necessary as the form of the verb itself shows you WHO is doing the action. They are only used for stress.
e.g He loves fish. in Arabic huwa yaHibb assamak.

To make the verb NEGATIVE use "maa" e.g "ma aHibb". means i don't like, love.

To make a QUESTION raise the voice at the end of the sentences-
Does he like the tea? yeHibb ashshaiy?
